DNS Issues When Server Goes Down

Hi All,

Great product - thank you. I’m using v1.6.2.

I have an issue where if a DNS resolved server fails L4 checks with connection refused and is marked down, the other IP address(es) in the DNS responses are not used instead.

Thus, I have a down server and valid alternatives that I want to be used and yet my backend and thus service is down.

I’m pretty sure this is by design, but it’s a huge problem for me and others I’m sure.

Any help anyone can offer would be gratefully received.

You’re right, this is by design. That said, we’re thinking of a way to solve this behavior.
