HAProxy VMWare ova Appliance Config

Good day.

I have deployed a haproxy 0.20.0 ova appliance for vSphere with Tanzu. I then ran through the workload management deployment on vcenter, but the config gets stuck on the ‘Configured Load Balancer fronting the kubernetes API Server’.

Configured Load Balancer fronting the kubernetes API Server

Configuration error (since 3/14/2025, 2:04:11 PM)

Unable to connect to HAProxy (https://192.168.40.137:5556/v2/cluster) from control plane VM 420243dc6f4b0324b070f497e72820d1. Error: Get “https://192.168.40.137:5556/v2/cluster”: http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client.

The supervisor control plan VMs have launched and are pingable and I can ssh into them. they report the nodes as being ready, but on vcenter, the hosts’ config reports as ‘Kubernetes Worker Node is schedulable
A general system error occurred. Error message: waiting for node host-4 to move to ready state.’ , for all 4 hosts.

I raised a ticket with Broadcom, and they said it’s a haproxy issue and that I should come look for support here, so here I am. It may not be appropriate for this forum, but I have no options right now, so I ask for assistance.

Thanks in advance.
