I’m going to deploy HAProxy which will be used for internal testing. I have two options I can either deploy using PFSense or Redhat Enterprise Linux 9. My question is which method would you all suggest? I think I would be better served deploying to RHEL than PF since most people will be running HAProxy on dedicated Linux servers.
We are unable support the UI abstraction in pfsense, we only support haproxy directly.
Firewalling functionality in pfsense may make your setup more complicated than it needs to be, pfsense is not a general purpose server OS.
Please deploy haproxy on a general purpose server OS like RHEL.
