Haproxy multi master using peers

I am veri interested in running haproxy in multi-master fashion as ingress-controller in kubernetes.

According to:
https://cbonte.github.io/haproxy-dconv/1.8/configuration.html#3.5-peer

It is said that peers are configured using ip addresses. Is it possible to use DNS as well ?

Any other options to configure peers not specyfying ip addresses ? Maybe some discovery is possible ?
