Any ideas is greatly appreciated. Just upgraded to Haproxy 3.3.0. I see strange CPU consumption. Takes one core and seems to tie up the core at 100%, plateaus and after a while, grabs another core and pegs that one to 100% as well.
Always use the latest bugfix release of the chosen branch.
It’s fine to use a bleeding edge branch like 3.3 if you need the newest features, but do not use 3.3.0. Instead use the latest available bugfix release in the 3.3 branch. Always check the top table at haproxy.org for this.
As of today March 24th, 2026, there are 6 consecutive releases after 3.3.0 fixing 148 bugs, of which 8 are major and 50 are medium severity.
If you are looking for a stable branch with long support, I suggest switching to the 3.2 LTS branch instead. Same applies here: always use the latest bugfix release.
